Delete your account
You can delete your ArthaVault account yourself, at any time, without asking us.
Deletion is immediate and permanent. There is no grace period, no soft-delete and no backup we can restore from — once it is done, we cannot bring the account back even if you ask us to.
How to do it
- Sign in at arthavault.app/login, or open the ArthaVault app.
- Go to Settings.
- Choose Delete account and type DELETE to confirm.
You'll be asked to sign in first if you aren't already.
What is removed
- Your budgets, expenses, goals, assets and liabilities
- Your receipts and their images
- Your profile photo
- Your subscription — any active plan is cancelled immediately
- Your sign-in and profile details
What stays
- Shared household records owned by someone else — those belong to them
We may also keep records we are legally required to hold, such as billing records retained for tax purposes. Those are kept for no longer than the law requires.
If you can't sign in
Email privacy@arthavault.app from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. We'll need to confirm it is yours before we do anything — deletion is irreversible, so we will not act on a request we cannot verify. We respond to data requests within 30 days, and usually much sooner.
Subscriptions
Deleting your account cancels an active ArthaVault subscription. If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, cancel there as well — Apple and Google own that billing relationship and we cannot cancel or refund it for you.
